Mayor
Head of Town Council. The Mayor also sits on Halton Regional Council, one of the Town's three members there.
Local Councillor
Represents the ward on Halton Hills Town Council and decides issues pertaining to Halton Hills. Each ward elects two.
Regional Councillor
Represents two of the four wards (Wards 1 and 2, or Wards 3 and 4) on Town Council and on Halton Regional Council.
Halton Regional Council
Halton Regional Council has 24 members, including the Mayor of each of its four local municipalities; three of them are from the Town of Halton Hills: the Mayor and the Regional Councillors for Wards 1 and 2 and for Wards 3 and 4.
3 of its 24 members (2023-2026 term) are Halton Hills council members: Ann Lawlor (Mayor), Clark Somerville (Regional Councillor, Wards 1 and 2) and Jane Fogal (Regional Councillor, Wards 3 and 4).
Halton Regional Chair for the 2023-2026 term: Gary Carr. Following the adoption of the Better Regional Governance Act, 2026, the Halton Regional Chair is now a Provincially appointed position and will not appear on the ballot.
