Online advance voting
9 October, 9 a.m., to 24 October 2026, 11:59 p.m.
Online voting runs from Friday, October 9 at 9 a.m. until Saturday, October 24 at 11:59 p.m. To vote online you must first opt in at vote2026.haltonhills.ca (open until 6 p.m. on October 24). Once the Election Administrator approves the request, you receive an email with a unique voting PIN, and use it with your date of birth to log in and vote. Help kiosks run at Acton Arena (415 Queen Street East) and the Mold-Masters SportsPlex (221 Guelph Street) on October 13, 15, 20 and 22, 4 to 8 p.m., and Halton Hills Public Library staff can help with opting in and getting online (they cannot view or help complete a ballot).

Monday 26 October 2026, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Election Day is Monday, October 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters must vote at their ward's voting location; anyone who goes to the wrong one will be redirected. Bring acceptable identification. Registered ActiVan users can book free rides to and from polling locations at least 24 hours ahead.

Vote by proxy
An eligible Halton Hills elector who cannot vote on Election Day or online may appoint another eligible elector as a voting proxy. The Appointment of Voting Proxy form is available at the Service Halton Hills counter at Town Hall, 1 Halton Hills Drive, and the proxy has it certified at the Clerk's Office. A proxy can act for only one person unless voting for a family member (parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, brother, sister or spouse).
Halton Region: following the adoption of the Better Regional Governance Act, 2026, the Halton Regional Chair is now a Provincially appointed position and will not appear on the ballot.
Who can vote
- Reside in the Town of Halton Hills, or be the owner or tenant of land there, or the spouse of such an owner or tenant;
- Be a Canadian citizen;
- Be at least 18 years old; and
- Not be prohibited from voting by law.
Owners of multiple properties in the Town of Halton Hills are only able to vote once in the ward of their primary residence.

You must bring acceptable identification to the voting location; the Town points to the Province's list of Acceptable Documents for Voter Identification.
