Why it is listed
This lot was purchased by Thomas C. Moore, of the early Acton Moore family, in 1856; Built by George Wilson, the railway roadmaster for Hamilton, who died in a plow accident; Excellent example of Gothic Revival style stucco home include steeply pitched center gable with a pointed window, and original four-over-four windows on main floor with segmental arches in upper panes; Contributes to the historic residential streetscape of Wilbur Street
