Description
The Andrew Laidlaw Farmhouse at 9111 Third Line is a one-and-a-half-storey Georgian/Neo-Classical residential building constructed prior to 1860. The existing farmhouse is one of the oldest buildings in the Scotch Block and is associated with the prominent Scotch Block pioneering Laidlaw family between 1835 and 1872.
What the status means
Designated individually under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act by a Town by-law. Altering the heritage attributes, or demolishing, needs the Town's consent.
