Glen Lawson Road

The Town is continuing its reconstruction of Glen Lawson Road and Third Line. The second phase closes Glen Lawson Road between Third Line and Fourth Line. The Town's September 29 notice gave an expected start of October 5 and expected completion of November 6, 2026. Detours are signed. Local access is being maintained, but the Town says to expect delays.

The Town's construction list describes the overall project as a reconstruction of Glen Lawson Road from the Acton urban limit to Fourth Line, and marked it as started in 2026.

10 Side Road

The Town is reconstructing 10 Side Road between RR25 and the CNR tracks. The road is expected to be closed between RR25 and Third Line from Tuesday, October 13 to Friday, October 16. Traffic control will be in place for local traffic, and delays are expected.

  • Detour one: RR25 to 5 Side Road to Third Line.
  • Detour two: 15 Side Road to Fourth Line.

The ROADS 2026 program describes the 10 Side Road job as full-depth asphalt removal and repaving, with base repairs, new curb, storm sewer repairs and ditch work.

The rest of this year's program

A Tenth Line closure between 20 Side Road and 22 Side Road was scheduled from September 29 to October 3, with a detour via 20 Side Road and Prince Street to Main Street. The Town's 2026 pavement management program, which a February news release said focuses on Wards 1, 2 and 3, was scheduled from May to November 2026 on these streets:

  • Resurfacing: Beacon Gate, Cameron Street, Chantelay Crescent, Clare Court, Division Street, George Street, Halton Hills Drive (Maple Avenue to Princess Anne Drive), Jason Crescent, Maple Avenue East, Market Street and McDonald Boulevard.
  • Resurfacing: Tenth Line, from 22 Side Road to 0.3 km south.
  • Minor reconstruction: Holmesway Place (Cobblehill Road to the end) and 10 Side Road (RR25 to Third Line).

The Town's construction page also lists the Ontario Street and Ann Street reconstruction, scheduled from June to November 2026, and new traffic signals at Main Street and Ewing Street, scheduled to finish in fall 2026.
