Why it is listed
Built by John Chisolm, an early Acton settler; Used at one point as a parsonage for the Methodist church; Good example of Gothic Revival architecture including wood porch with decorative gingerbread trim, and painted brick window labels; Contributes to the historic residential streetscape of Park Avenue

On the register but not designated. Listing does not require a heritage permit for alterations, but an owner must give the Town 60 days' notice of an intention to demolish or remove a building or structure (Ontario Heritage Act, s. 27(9)).
