Why it is listed

Excellent example of Gothic Revival style architecture including stone foundation, cross gable roof, segmentally arched windows on first storey, semicircular windows on second storey with paired windows above each bay window, dichrome brick quoins, window labels and diamond details in gables, stone sills, and two bay windows with semicircular windows and iron cresting. Designed to match 37 Main Street North. Contributes to the historic streetscape of Main Street

What the status means

On the register but not designated. Listing does not require a heritage permit for alterations, but an owner must give the Town 60 days' notice of an intention to demolish or remove a building or structure (Ontario Heritage Act, s. 27(9)).

Whether a specific alteration needs a heritage permit is the Town’s call; ask its heritage planning staff before starting work.

Not mapped: the register gives no position for this record that matches an official address point inside the city boundary.
