Why it is listed
Good example of Italianate style of architecture including cross gable roof, segmentally arched, four-over-four windows with stone sills, dichrome brick quoins and labels, stone sills, a two-storey bay with narrow, semicircular windows on first storey, pointed windows on second storey, and wood brackets, and front porch with square columns and gingerbread decoration. Contributes to the historic streetscape of Main Street
What the status means
On the register but not designated. Listing does not require a heritage permit for alterations, but an owner must give the Town 60 days' notice of an intention to demolish or remove a building or structure (Ontario Heritage Act, s. 27(9)).
