Why it is listed
Good example of Gothic Revival architecture including symmetrical façade with central gable; Associated with William Howard Kentner, owner of the Georgetown Lumber Company, who owned the house prior to purchasing the well-known family home on Queen Street; Part of the historic residential streetscape of Queen Street.
What the status means
On the register but not designated. Listing does not require a heritage permit for alterations, but an owner must give the Town 60 days' notice of an intention to demolish or remove a building or structure (Ontario Heritage Act, s. 27(9)).
