Why it is listed
Excellent example of Gothic Revival style architecture including stone foundation, gable roof, steeply pitched center gable with bargeboard, finial, drop and lancet window, one-over-one segmentally arched windows with dichrome brick labels and stone sills, dichrome brick quoins, and two bay windows with wood brackets; Contributes to the historic streetscape of Main Street
What the status means
On the register but not designated. Listing does not require a heritage permit for alterations, but an owner must give the Town 60 days' notice of an intention to demolish or remove a building or structure (Ontario Heritage Act, s. 27(9)).
